Senior Process Engineer
Description:
Hazen Research has several openings for Senior Process Engineers with experience in extractive metallurgy, thermal processing, mineral processing, or clean energy development. We are looking for people who want to make a contribution to these fields and who have an in-depth knowledge that will attract clients to Hazen Research. Specifically, we are looking for people who have been involved with one or more of the following areas:
Projects include developing new processes, improving current processes, and providing other technical information to mining, energy, specialty inorganic chemical, and environmental companies.
Experience: 10-25 years planning and managing technical development projects for the industries that Hazen serves.
Education: Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree in chemical, metallurgical, or materials engineering or a related field. Although not a requirement, advanced degrees and a professional engineering license will receive favorable consideration.
Duties: This job includes defining the technical information needed by clients, developing process flowsheets, proposing and carrying out laboratory, pilot plant, and engineering studies to generate that information, interpreting and reporting results, and communicating with clients. The position will frequently require leading a team to accomplish these ends. A broad spectrum of process knowledge is required, and experience with industrial processes and equipment is a plus. Strong project management, supervisory, oral communications, and technical report writing skills are required.
